We are seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Teachers to join our network of schools across Durham, Washington and Chester le street. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting students to achieve their full academic potential. Opportunities are available across a range of subject specialisms and can include daily supply, short-term cover and long-term placements.
The ideal candidate will have excellent classroom management skills, strong subject knowledge and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback where appropriate.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and implement school behaviour policies consistently.
- Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Support students' academic, social and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders to improve student outcomes.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and school events as required.
- Maintain accurate records relating to attendance, attainment and safeguarding concerns.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies where appropriate.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Pay: £130.00-£264.00 per day
