Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer (Civil) to oversee the planning, execution, and management of construction projects. This role is vital in ensuring that civil engineering works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. As a Site Engineer, you will coordinate between project teams, contractors, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes. Your expertise in civil systems, construction processes, and technical design will drive project progress from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to interpret schematics and system designs for accurate implementation
- Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software to review and modify drawings as needed for project accuracy
- Conduct land surveying using ArcGIS and other surveying tools to verify site conditions and boundary locations
- Manage project schedules and resources through effective project management practices to meet deadlines
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting materials, workmanship, and installation procedures regularly
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken
PaveRose Civils is looking for experienced Site Engineers to support our growing workload across groundworks, civil engineering and residential development projects.
The role will include:
- Setting out foundations, drainage, roads, sewers and external works
- Establishing and maintaining accurate site control points
- Preparing and updating CAD models and setting-out information
- Completing surveys, as-built records and quality documentation
- Reviewing construction drawings and identifying discrepancies
- Liaising closely with site managers, supervisors and delivery teams
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required specifications
- Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of projects
The successful applicants will have:
- Strong previous experience within groundworks and civil engineering
- Experience working on residential development projects
- Competence using GPS and robotic total-station equipment
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
- A valid CSCS card
- Their own transport
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A reliable, organised and proactive approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team
