Junior Planner — Specialist Cladding & Façade Remediation
City of London (EC4) | Permanent, Full-Time | £25,000 – £27,000
About the Role
Link-Force Recruitment is working exclusively to source a talented Junior Planner for a specialist cladding and façade remediation principal contractor based in the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious planner early in their career to gain hands-on exposure to complex, high-profile construction projects across central London.
You'll work alongside Senior Planners and Project Directors, playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to programme across multiple live remediation and façade schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and developing baseline programmes using Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6
- Maintain and update live project programmes, reflecting site progress and agreed changes
- Produce short-term look-ahead programmes and attend weekly progress meetings
- Support delay analysis, time impact assessments, and extension of time submissions
- Collate progress information from site teams, subcontractors, and project managers
- Assist with monthly progress reports and client-facing programme updates
- Liaise with commercial and design teams to ensure programme alignment
- Contribute to tender programmes and pre-construction planning as required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- 0–3 years' experience in a planning or project controls role within construction
- Working knowledge of Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable:
- Experience on residential, cladding, or façade projects
- Familiarity with NEC or JCT contract forms
- CSCS card holder
- Understanding of delay analysis methodologies
