Advantage Education is seeking to appoint a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in education or sales who is looking to transition into a rewarding career in education recruitment.
This is a full 360-degree recruitment role, encompassing candidate sourcing, client development, school meetings, and end-to-end placement management. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the complete recruitment cycle, from candidate sourcing and qualification through to placement
- Developing and maintaining relationships with schools and educational settings
- Conducting face-to-face meetings with school leadership teams on site
- Managing candidate pipelines and ensuring a high-quality service throughout the recruitment process
- Working towards and achieving placement targets, on which commission and bonuses are paid
Working Hours
- Term time: 07:00–16:30 or 07:30–17:00, Monday to Friday, on a rota basis
- School holidays: Reduced hours of 09:00–14:00
- The role is office-based on a full-time basis to commence. Following the successful completion of the probationary period, this will reduce to 3–4 days per week in the office.
Requirements
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular travel to school sites for meetings
- Previous experience in education (e.g. teaching, support staff, or other school-based roles) with a desire to transition into a commercial setting, or proven experience in a sales environment
- A genuine passion for education and the difference it makes to young people's lives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
Package
- Base salary of £30,000 per annum
- Commission and bonus scheme, paid in addition to base salary upon achievement of targets
- 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- One week's leave over the Christmas period, provided in addition to and not counted within the annual leave allowance
- Reduced working hours during school holidays
- Hybrid working arrangement (3–4 office days per week) following successful completion of probation
