Contract Hours: 22.2hrs per week
Annual Salary: £32,323 pro rata

Main Purpose of the Job:
To develop and deliver impactful, relevant and responsive communications, which highlight the wide-ranging effects of domestic abuse, and showcase Leeway’s support services
To develop and maintain excellent media relationships, to ensure Leeway is recognised as an expert in its field, and approached for comment on all local and national Domestic Abuse related news
Key Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team to produce and manage Leeway’s Communications Strategy.
- To develop, implement and monitor an annual plan, outlining how Leeway is meeting its Communications Strategy.
- To support the management of Leeway’s brand and brand guidelines, ensuring its application across all Leeway marketing materials.
- To support the Managers and Senior Management Team to produce marketing materials, such as posters, leaflets, reports, brochures, newsletters, graphics and videos to enhance Leeway’s brand image and voice.
- To work in partnership with the Fundraising Officer, to meet the objectives of the Income Generation Plan, through the promotion of the organisation’s services, fundraising and donation opportunities.
- To support the Chief Executive to respond to media enquiries from press, TV and radio outlets, including crisis responses.
- To build and maintain positive relationships with journalists, and content creators.
- To lead the organisation’s social media output, promoting the charity’s services, aims and objectives, as well as raising awareness of domestic abuse.
- To support the management of Leeway’s website, liaising with external developers to ensure that it is up-to-date and promotes the organisation’s vision, values, objectives and branding.
- To build and maintain relationships with communications contacts at partner agencies, promoting Leeway’s partnership work across Norfolk and Suffolk.
- Record media coverage and measure impact of public campaigns on audience engagement.
