BL_NK Coffee is a small independent speciality coffee shop, and we’re looking for an experienced barista to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently and takes pride in consistently producing high-quality coffee and excellent customer service.
Hours
The contracted hours will be 5.5 hours per week, with opportunities for additional shifts most weeks, more hours avaible.
The role will consist of:
- Every Sunday (opening and closing the store)
- Plus more hours in the week, where you will be responsible for closing the store.
Responsibilities
- Preparing speciality coffee to a high standard.
- Producing consistent latte art.
- Preparing smoothies, bagels and açaí bowls.
- Delivering excellent customer service.
- Opening and closing the shop.
- Cash handling and end-of-day cashing up.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene throughout the shift.
Essential Requirements
- Fully trained and experienced barista – please only apply if you have previous speciality coffee experience.
- Confident working alone and managing the shop independently.
- Experience opening and closing a coffee shop.
- Experience cashing up and handling tills.
- Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure.
- Must be aged 18 or over due to being a key holder and carrying out cash handling duties.
Start date: As soon as possible.
