Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Projects Manager to oversee and deliver complex infrastructure initiatives within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The ideal applicant will possess a solid background in project management methodologies, cloud computing, and infrastructure development, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions aligned with organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure projects across various departments.
- Develop detailed project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint to track progress and resource allocation.
- Gather and analyse requirements from stakeholders to define project scope and objectives effectively.
- Manage project lifecycle activities including SDLC phases, release management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation of cloud computing solutions on platforms such as AWS and Oracle.
- Utilise project management software like Jira, TFS, and Microsoft Office suite to monitor project milestones and report status updates.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), create test cases, and oversee test-driven development processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and business units to ensure alignment of project goals.
- Manage risks proactively by developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Lead negotiations with vendors and stakeholders to secure resources and optimise project outcomes.
- Oversee programme management activities including resource planning, scheduling optimisation using Kanban or Waterfall methodologies, and compliance adherence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management within an IT or infrastructure environment; PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of SDLC frameworks such as SAFe and Waterfall methodologies.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS; experience with disaster recovery strategies is advantageous.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, TFS, Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Demonstrable experience in software development processes including test-driven development and user acceptance testing.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities; ability to interpret complex data sets using SQL or Oracle databases.
- Effective leadership qualities with outstanding communication skills; capable of motivating teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Familiarity with programme management techniques including release management, requirements gathering, analysis skills, negotiation tactics, and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £35,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
