Our Team is growing at The Learning Tree and we are currently searching for a warm and friendly Nursery Practitioner to join us in creating a nurturing and adventurous environment.
They will need to be enthusiastic and passionate about working in Early Years, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young children.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing a safe and secure environment for children by Ensuring that health and safety measures are constantly maintained via completing risk assessments, reporting risks and recording accidents and incidents.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with parents and carers good communication is key!
- Encouraging children to develop their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.
- Planning activities that are appropriate for the age and stage of development of the children in your care.
- Observing and recording children's progress
- Being aware of the individual needs of each child in your care.
- Leading the team within the baby department.
- Settling children into nursery and developing individual “all about me” profiles for each child.
Must have:
- At least two years of experience working with children.
- Understanding of the importance of following and abiding by policies and procedures
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Childcare Level 3 or above
- First aid (preferred)
- Child protection (preferred)
- Food hygiene (preferred)
Desirable:
- DBS on update service (one can be obtained via the nursery if you do not have one)
- Clean UK Drivers licence with 2 years experience

Job Specifications:
Full time: Monday - Friday
Hours of work shifts between: 7:30 am- 6:00 pm
