The Role
We are looking for an early career architectural assistant. Working and Reporting directly to the Senior Architect, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of architectural projects from concept through to construction.
The successful candidate will be involved in producing technical drawings, preparing planning and building control submissions, coordinating project information, liaising with clients and consultants, and supporting the delivery of projects across a variety of sectors.
This role offers significant autonomy, responsibility, and exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality technical drawings and construction information.
- Prepare planning applications and Building Control submissions.
- Develop detailed design packages and technical specifications.
- Assist in the coordination of architectural projects from inception through to completion.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and statutory authorities.
- Ability to conduct site visits and surveys as may be required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Building Regulations, Planning policies, and industry standards.
- Assist with project / document management.
- Support project delivery
- Assist with the continuous improvement of technical standards, records and processes within the practice.
- M.Arch Graduate or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of a Architectural Technologist role.
- Be familiar with Building Regulations and experience in preparing planning and Building Control applications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, photoshop would be required .
- Excellent technical detailing and drawing production skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- A Passion for architecture, interior design and landscape design
- Ability to manage projects and priorities effectively.
- Full UK / EU driving licence.
We are looking for
- Experience with Autocad, Sketchup and Photoshop.
- Word press would be useful for web based promotions .
- Architectural Part 1 or 3 or working towards accreditation.
- Experience working across residential, commercial, , education, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficient building design would be desirable.
- Some site inspection and project administration experience would be desirable.
You should be self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team environment.
- Have a good practical problem solving outlook with a solution-oriented approach to your work.
- Adaptable and comfortable working within a growing independent business.
