Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance MEP Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) installations on a major construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day MEP site operations.
- Coordinate and supervise M&E subcontractors and specialist contractors.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, programme, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and report regularly to the Project Manager.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality checks.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company procedures.
- Review RAMS, permits to work, and method statements.
- Attend client, contractor, and subcontractor meetings.
- Identify and resolve site issues to maintain programme targets.
- Support commissioning, testing, snagging, and project handover activities.
Requirements
- Proven track record as an MEP Site Manager, M&E Site Manager, or Building Services Site Manager.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health services installations.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial, or data centre projects.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage site teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction and health & safety legislation.
Essential Qualifications
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Relevant mechanical or electrical trade background (preferred)
Desirable
- Experience with commissioning and handover processes.
- Knowledge of BIM and digital construction platforms.
- Temporary Works or Appointed Person qualifications.

Pay: £300.00-£350.00 per day
