Our treatment plants and incinerators are at the heart of our business, and as our Shift Supervisor you’ll be delivering against our promise to protect what matters in a practical way, by managing the team who processing the safe disposal of a large variety of clinical waste.
Reporting to the Plant Manager and responsible for the smooth running of your shift within the Incinerator permitted area, you’ll oversee the successful operation and availability of plant and machinery in a continuous 24/7 clinical waste operation.
This will involve hands-on responsibility for:
- To be fully conversant with all legislative regulations and documentation affecting compliance and operation of the plant.
- Maintaining/repairing site plant, equipment and machinery to the highest possible standards of engineering, whilst maintaining optimum levels of quality, output and performance.
- Making decisions outside normal working hours re. plant running and shutdown.
- Assisting the Maintenance Technician as directed to effectively carry out all planned and preventative maintenance.
Ideally, we’re looking for an experienced supervisor or team leader from a related Process / Waste background, who can demonstrate:
- Proven supervisory and people management skills.
- A tenacious approach to push for industry best standards.
- Have an Engineering background and the ability to deliver through a team driven approach.
- First rate communication skills and plenty of flexibility, coupled with high levels of reliability and self-motivation.
- Competent in IT/PC literacy, especially Microsoft Excel, along with a general awareness of relevant health & safety/legislative regulations and related admin.
