Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team mainly over a weekend. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. You will assist the kitchen staff in food preparation and ensure a smooth operation of the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Clean and sanitise food preparation surfaces
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables or preparing ingredients
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling properly
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
