A new hospitality concept from the team behind Deep North - an established artisan doughnut and specialty coffee business with four successful sites across the North East.
Located in the heart of Newcastle, this new venue will combine specialty coffee, pizza, brunch, natural wine, craft beer and soft-serve ice cream into an all-day destination.
We are looking for friendly, passionate, and experienced specialty coffee baristas to join the opening team and help create an exceptional customer experience.
The Role
You will play a key role in the day-to-day front of house operation — delivering high-quality coffee, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere for customers throughout the day.
You’ll work closely with the Venue Manager and wider team to maintain excellent service standards across coffee and food service.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about specialty coffee and enjoys working within creative, vibrant hospitality spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Drinks
- Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee to consistently high standards
- Dial in espresso and maintain coffee quality throughout service
- Prepare coffee using a range of brewing methods including filter and pour over
- Prepare a range of drinks including matcha, teas and iced drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee and bar areas
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and equipment care
Customer Experience
- Deliver warm, knowledgeable, and attentive customer service
- Build positive relationships with regular customers and the local community
- Support smooth service during busy periods, weekends, and events
Front of House Operations
- Support day-to-day front of house operations across the venue
- Assist with food running, clearing and general customer service where needed
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation throughout the venue
- Work collaboratively with both front and back of house teams to ensure smooth service
About You

- Passionate about specialty coffee and hospitality
- Friendly, positive, and confident working with customers
- Calm under pressure in busy service environments
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Interested in food, coffee, music, culture, and community
Desired Experience
- Previous experience working in a specialty coffee environment
- Confident dialling in espresso and working with high-volume coffee service at high standards
- Strong customer service skills
Pay: £12.71 per hour
