We currently have a permanent role for an exciting opportunity with the inpatient phlebotomy service Band 3 Phlebotomist to join our dedicated and caring team within Children’s outpatients
A venepuncture qualification is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to children and young people.
This phlebotomy role covers children from 0-18 years old and will cover children in the inpatient wards and those coming to outpatient clinics. We are looking for personable, friendly staff who can put children and their carers at ease whilst taking their bloods.
Working days are Monday through to Sunday and there may be some travel to other satellite paediatric clinics in South Bristol and Weston General Hospital. Role to start with effect from the 1 st January 2027

Key Requirements to Apply: We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have excellent communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
To be shortlisted for this role, you must clearly demonstrate on your application the following:
Maths qualification at GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
English qualification at GCSE A*-C / 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
Level 3 qualification (or higher) in any subject.
Phlebotomy experience
Experience or a passion for working with children and young people.
You will need to provide evidence of your educational qualification before your invitation to interview is confirmed.
