Our client, Decor Construction Group Ltd, is a growing and highly regarded construction company specialising in residential renovations and external property improvements throughout South London and the South East.
Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Driveway Installer / Groundworker to join their subcontract installation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term, consistent work with a company known for delivering high-quality projects and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out complete driveway installations from start to finish.
- Install block paving, resin-bound, gravel, and tarmac driveways.
- Excavate and prepare groundworks, including sub-base installation.
- Install kerbs, edging systems, drainage channels, and associated groundwork features.
- Lay patios, pathways, and external paving where required.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers and site managers.
- Work independently and as part of a wider installation team.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum3 years' experience in driveway installation or groundworks.
- Proven experience installing:
- Block paving
- Resin-bound surfacing
- Gravel driveways
- Tarmac driveways
- Strong understanding of groundwork preparation and drainage systems.
- Own van and tools.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Desirable Skills
- CSCS Card.
- Experience operating small plant machinery such as diggers, dumpers, and compactors.
- Experience working on residential domestic projects.
- Landscaping and external works experience.
