Job Summary
To support the effective administration of the student lifecycle by maintaining accurate student records, coordinating key registry processes, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and UK higher education regulations. The Registry Officer will contribute to the efficient delivery of registry services, supporting students, academic staff and external stakeholders while maintaining the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of academic data.
Responsibilities
1.Student Records Management:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrolment, progression, and award data.
o Process student enrolment, and changes to student status (e.g., withdrawals, interruptions, transfers). Also, assist individual students with completing the enrolment of required.
o Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and maintain the confidentiality of student records.
o Support the preparation and submission of statutory returns, such as Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) data – if applies.
2. Examinations and Assessments:
o Assist in the coordination of assessments, including scheduling it.
o Support the administration of self-withdrawals, interruptions, transfers.
o Ensure the secure storage and distribution of assessments and marking.
3. Registry Administration:
o Assist in the preparation and distribution of registry regulations, policies, and procedures.
o Act as a point of contact for student inquiries related to registry administration, providing timely and accurate information.
4. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
o Support the institution’s compliance with UK higher education regulations, including those set by the Office for Students (OfS) and Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
o Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, reviews, and inspections.
o Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and provide reports to the Registrar or Senior Registry Manager.
5. Data Management and Reporting:
o Use CMS, One drive,Tableau, BNU MIS system and other databases to input, update, and retrieve academic data.
o Generate reports on student performance and other key metrics as required.
o Support the analysis of students’ performance data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
o Actively support Registry committee and prepare the reports upon the request
6. General Duties:
o Provide administrative support for Registry projects and initiatives as required.
o Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of Registry services.
o Undertake other duties as assigned by the Registrar or Senior Registry Manager.
o Support the organization of student-oriented events, such as graduation ceremonies, open days, and induction programs.
o Assist with activities related to Alumni
o Assist with Complaints upon the request
Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Honours degree or equivalent
- Experience supporting the student lifecycle.
- Experience contributing to quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in IT and digital tools.
- Understanding of HE regulations, compliance requirements and data quality.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work effectively in a growing organisation.
Summary
The Registry Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Registry and ensuring the efficient administration of student records, enrolment, assessments, examinations and academic administration. The post holder will maintain accurate student data, provide administrative support throughout the student lifecycle, contribute to quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities, and assist with reporting and registry projects. Working closely with academic departments, partner institutions and professional services teams, the Registry Officer will help ensure the delivery of high-quality, student-focused registry services in accordance with College policies, awarding body requirements and UK higher education regulatory frameworks.
Pay: £24,800.00-£25,000.00 per year
