Hours: 7 hours per week, Attleborough Foodbank (Tues morning) & Watton Foodbank (Thurs afternoon).
Salary £25,867 per annum £4,893 pro-rata
Location: Based across two locations Attleborough and Watton Foodbank
Annual Leave: 20 days + bank holidays and five office closure days (Three at Christmas and two in the summer)
Pension: 4.5% Contribution

The Role:
Norfolk Citizens Advice is looking for a compassionate and proactive Adviser to support people accessing local foodbanks. You'll provide free, impartial and confidential advice to individuals facing challenges such as the cost of living, debt, benefits, housing and access to essential services.
Working face-to-face and by telephone, you'll help clients understand their options, access support and find a way forward.
Key responsibilities:
· Deliver one-to-one advice and information to clients face-to-face and by telephone
· Provide callbacks and support to clients through our Adviceline service.
· Explain complex information clearly and sensitively.
· Help clients identify solutions and access appropriate support services.
· Maintain accurate and timely case records using Citizens Advice systems.
· Work in line with Citizens Advice quality standards, policies and procedures.
Satisfactory clearance of a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) is required.
Person specification
Essential Criteria
We will provide full training; however, we will favour applicants who demonstrate the following experience:
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence using IT including MS Office and digital systams
- A calm, problem-solving approach
- Experience supporting people, particularly those facing challenging or complex circumstances
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in advice, call handling, or support work (desirable, not essential)
