We are looking for a motivated and reliable Fabrication Team Member to join our growing Fabrication Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, manufacturing and learning new technical skills. Our Fabrication Department is responsible for producing high-quality components and assemblies through a variety of fabrication and engineering processes including VMC machining, laser cutting, laser engraving, anodising, brushing, finishing and quality inspection.
Unlike many manufacturing roles that focus on a single process, this position offers the opportunity to develop skills across multiple areas of the department. Full training will be provided, and you will be supported throughout your onboarding journey. You will learn new processes step-by-step, building your knowledge and confidence over time.

Duties
- Loading and unloading Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machinery.
- Monitoring machine cycles and ensuring continuous production flow.
- Operating laser cutting equipment following training and authorisation.
- Setting up and operating laser engraving equipment.
- Carrying out brushing, finishing and preparation of fabricated components.
- Performing anodising processes, including preparation, racking, de-racking, processing and quality verification.
- Handling and working with chemicals in accordance with COSHH requirements, training and safe working procedures.
- Carrying out dimensional, visual and quality inspections of manufactured components.
- Using measuring equipment and inspection techniques to verify products meet specification.
- Identifying and reporting quality issues, non-conformances and production defects.
- Deburring, cleaning and preparing components for the next stage of manufacture.
- Following documented work instructions, quality procedures and manufacturing processes.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Supporting stock handling, material movements and production scheduling activities.
- Assisting other operational departments when required.
- Participating in training programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Experience operating CNC or VMC machinery.
- Experience operating laser cutting or laser engraving equipment.
- Experience carrying out quality inspections and using measuring equipment.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Experience working within an anodising, metal finishing or similar manufacturing environment.
- COSHH awareness or COSHH training would be advantageous. Training will be provided if required.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English or a technical subject.
- Interest in engineering, manufacturing, machining or metal finishing processes.

Holidays
30 days per holiday year inclusive of statutory bank holidays.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Friday: 8:30am – 1:30pm
30-minute unpaid break every working day
Contractual working week: 38.5 hours
