What you need to know about the role
As Account Coordinator, you will act as the primary link between customers and the organisation on daily operational matters to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction. You will also support the Account Manager in developing and executing account plans, fostering strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and gaining experience in key account management.
This post is visualised as a development role to prepare the job holder for an Account Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain account plans, supporting sales opportunities and sector objectives.
- Assist Account Manager with pricing policies and customer relationship management.
- Act as primary contact for customer queries; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Manage service levels, order support, complaint handling, and issue resolution.
- Support demand forecasting, delivery monitoring, and order book management.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing to resolve issues and identify opportunities.
- Capture and share customer feedback with internal stakeholders.
- Handle enquiries within contractual terms (price, product, lead-time).
Identify and escalate critical service issues when alternatives cannot be agreed.

What we need to know about you
- Educated to A-level or equivalent
- Willingness to learn about the sector, customers, products and supply chain processes
- Basis understanding of market dynamics and pricing concepts is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to develop analytical and project management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with colleagues and customers
- Excellent IT Skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
