Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Saturdays on a rotational basis (shift may vary depending on workload)

At R D Johns, we’re a growing, family-run foodservice business supplying thousands of customers across the South West — and our warehouse team is at the heart of it all. We’re looking for a Day Shift Warehouse Operative to join our Midsomer Norton team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and where your contribution genuinely matters.
What you’ll be doing As part of our warehouse team, you’ll play a key role in making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving deliveries and ensuring stock is stored in the correct location Picking customer orders accurately and on time Moving stock safely using pump trucks, PPTs and forklifts (full training provided) Working across chilled, frozen and ambient areas Supporting stock takes and internal audits Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
The Ideal Candidate:
What we’re looking for We’re after reliable, hardworking team players who are ready to get stuck in. You’ll ideally be:
Physically fit and happy to stay active throughout your shift Comfortable working in chilled and frozen environments (PPE provided) Detail-focused, with a “right first time” mindset A team player who takes pride in doing a great job
Qualifications Needed:
No formal qualifications are required — just the right attitude and willingness to learn. Forklift license desirable.
