The Crown Pub in Aldbourne is a thriving traditional British pub with hotel rooms and a popular restaurant. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking Bar Staff to join our front of house team.
The ideal candidates will have previous experience in a customer-facing role, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. As a member of our bar team, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while providing efficient and friendly service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Operate the till and handle customer payments accurately.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the bar, restaurant, and customer areas.
- Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Replenish stock, glassware, garnishes, and other bar supplies as required.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and deal with customer enquiries professionally.
- Support special events, promotions, and functions held at the pub.
- Help create a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment for all guests.
Skills & Experience
- Previous bar, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards of service and cleanliness.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
