Are you experienced in residential childcare and looking to work with a company that truly prioritises child-centred and therapeutic care?
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated team and deliver lasting, positive outcomes for children and young people who may have experienced trauma.
This well-established company currently has two residential homes: One service near Reading, rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted, and an exciting new provision in Newbury. The homes provide care for children and young people aged 5-18 who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and require support for their emotional needs.
By upholding the home’s core values of Safeguarding, Emotional Wellbeing, and Therapeutic Care, you will ensure each child receives consistent, high-quality support in a safe and nurturing environment. By using therapeutic approaches such as PACE and therapeutic parenting, you will support children in developing key life skills, building independence, and strengthening resilience.
As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young people by creating a positive environment where they can thrive and flourish. You will lead by example, overseeing tasks and contributing to the smooth running of each shift. Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable, as you will be providing guidance not only to the children in your care but also to your team and providing care in line with the Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements.
Salary: £35,500 - £37,500 (Including sleep-ins, depending on experience)
Rota: A combination of early, late, long day, and sleep-in shifts (37 hours per week)
