Warehouse Operative – Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the warehouse by handling, storing, and distributing goods safely and accurately. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders and samples accurately and efficiently for dispatch using scanning gun technology. Full training will be provided.
- Ensuring all orders are packed to a high standard, reflecting the quality and presentation expected of a premium brand.
- Booking in orders using computer systems and telephone communication.
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely movement of stock.
- Handling products carefully to minimise damage during storage and transportation.
- Carrying out heavy lifting duties safely and using correct manual handling techniques.
- Building pallets and preparing goods for storage or distribution.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Following company procedures, health & safety guidelines, and warehouse protocols at all times.
- Using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage stock movements and inventory accuracy.
Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse experience, including picking, packing, and materials handling, is preferred.
- Good understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting safely.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to work.
- A self-starter with excellent attention to detail who is looking for an enjoyable and progressive role.
