About IRS
IRS Construction is a specialist Principal Contractor delivering façade remediation, fire safety and external wall insulation programmes on Higher Risk Buildings across the UK. Our work supports residents, property owners and managing agents to make buildings safer, meeting the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Building Safety Regulator's gateway process. Our site teams are at the heart of that, and this role keeps everything running safely and to standard on the ground.
Job Summary
We're looking for a Site Supervisor to join IRS Construction, running day to day site operations across our projects in Edinburgh and the Surrounding areas.
You'll take charge of day-to-day site operations, keep health and safety front and centre, and maintain quality across the work of various trades. Knowledge of external wall insulation would be useful, though it's not essential.
Duties
Health and safety
- Making sure health and safety is adhered to on site
- Carrying out site inductions
- Running toolbox talks
- Checking the correct PPE is worn on site
- Making sure traffic management plans are followed
- Keeping the site as clean and tidy as possible
- Assisting with waste management
Day to day
- Overseeing work activities on site across various trades
- Making sure works are carried out to specification across various trades
- Monitoring works and keeping a photographic record
Materials and quality
- Recording stock levels of materials on site
- Taking in and monitoring deliveries, keeping to traffic management rules
- Inspecting works and keeping snagging records
Documents and reporting
- Keeping site records, including start and end of day checks and labour records
- Keeping the manager updated on progress
What you'll need
- SSSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Asbestos Awareness
- A forklift licence is preferable but not required
- Knowledge of external wall insulation is preferable but not essential
The Details
- Location: Edinburgh and surrounding areas
- Hours: 7:45am to 4:30pm
- Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 per year
