PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Manage the Spa and Leisure activities, to effectively and efficiently deliver the optimum product in line with business strategy.
2. Responsible for the effective and efficient day to day management of the leisure team to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, including (but not limited to) sense of arrival, registration, health, safety, hygiene and environment, security, equipment and facilities instruction and maintenance, ancillary earnings potential and departure.
3. Maximise sales directly and indirectly to ensure revenue earning opportunities are maximised, including residential and non-residential customers. Provide excellent knowledge and leadership by possession of excellent product and equipment knowledge.
4. Manage all relevant resources, including staffing, equipment and guest provisions, including ordering.
5. Participate actively in decision making which directly affects the Spa and Leisure activities.
6. Ensure that leisure area is cleaned and maintained to the standards required and set up and closed down correctly.
7. Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with guests, organisers, and colleagues, encouraging discussion and feedback, which will benefit the business.
8. Ensure the correct interpretation, implementation, adherence and communication of company policies and procedures, e.g. local discipline, grievance, welfare, attendance and performance etc.
9. Ensure regular and effective communication channels, which correctly inform staff of all relevant business, related matters, including regular team briefings etc. and receive feedback for the area of their responsibility.
10. Ensure technical excellence for own area of work.
11. Ensure full legal compliance, including health, safety and hygiene inspections, risk assessments and ensure that staff are also aware of these requirements and their responsibilities. Maintain accident details. Keep abreast of latest developments and innovations, recommending and implementing changes where necessary.
12. Participate actively in departmental training, cross-training and development of yourself and your staff.
13. Perform any other duties/projects as required by members of the Executive Management team.
