Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans. Duties
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management.
- Implement and follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition.
- Drive to patients' homes when required for home care services.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for home care assignments.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting others.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.
