We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of our team long-term. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef/Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role involves supporting food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety within a busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering quality meals. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with meal assembly and presentation to ensure attractive and consistent dishes
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations
- Assist in receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
- Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
- Keep work surfaces, utensils, and equipment sanitised throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or culinary training is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
- A positive attitude and eagerness to develop culinary skills

Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
