Role Overview
We're looking for a Help Desk Coordinator to join our Southport office. This is a varied, hands on role that combines first line service desk coordination with warehouse support and pre commissioning duties. You'll be the first point of contact for service requests, keeping jobs moving through the pipeline, and supporting the wider installation and service team with equipment preparation before it goes out to site.
This role suits someone organised, practical, and happy switching between a desk and a warehouse floor. No two days will look the same.
Key Responsibilities
Help Desk Coordination
- Log, triage and track incoming service and support requests
- Act as the first point of contact for engineers, clients and internal teams raising issues
- Allocate jobs to field engineers and monitor progress through to resolution
- Keep clients and internal stakeholders updated on ticket status
- Maintain accurate records within our service management system
- Escalate urgent or complex issues to the Lead Installation and Service Manager
Warehouse Support
- Receive, check and log incoming equipment and stock
- Pick and pack equipment for upcoming installations and service visits
- Maintain a tidy, organised and safe warehouse environment
- Support stock control and inventory accuracy
- Coordinate courier collections and deliveries
Pre Commissioning
- Support the pre commissioning of AV equipment ahead of dispatch, including basic setup, configuration checks and testing
- Work with the technical team to ensure kit leaves the warehouse ready for install
- Flag any faults or missing items before equipment goes out to site
- Follow documented checklists and processes to maintain consistency and quality
What We're Looking For
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfortable using a computer system to log and track jobs, tickets or stock
- Practical, hands on approach, happy to be on your feet in a warehouse environment
- Clear communicator, confident dealing with clients, engineers and colleagues
- Good attention to detail, particularly when checking equipment or updating records
- A team player who takes ownership and follows through on tasks
- Previous experience in a help desk, coordination, logistics or warehouse role is an advantage, but not essential. We'll provide full training on our systems and AV specific processes
