Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of mechanical knowledge and practical skills to perform various maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out day-to-day repairs, basic plumbing, electrical, and joinery tasks
- Conducting regular safety checks and maintenance routines
- Ensuring our environment remains clean, safe, and homely for residents and staff
- Supporting staff with emergency call-outs (out-of-hours, paid accordingly)
- Liaising with external contractors when required
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
- Good general knowledge of property upkeep
- A can-do attitude and ability to work independently
- Respectful, compassionate approach to working in a care setting
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency issues (rotated or by arrangement)

Skills
