Home: New 2-bed EBD children's residential home, Walsall
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 DOE, plus performance-related package
Status: Permanent, full-time. Start date flexible for the right candidate
The role: Lead the home through Ofsted registration and the first inspection, build and develop the staff team, establish strong safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance systems, and create a positive culture from day one.
An existing Ofsted Registered Manager , or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up with the right support
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare , or currently working towards this
Strong experience working with EBD, trauma and complex behaviours , with a clear understanding of trauma-informed practice
Previous experience contributing to a Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcome would be highly desirable
Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 , Quality Standards and Ofsted expectations
Confident managing Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 processes, safeguarding, care planning, risk assessments, monitoring and quality assurance
Understanding of safer recruitment , staff supervision, training and workforce development
Enhanced DBS and a full UK driving licence
Able to commute to Walsall and take ownership of the home through its registration and opening
