Job Summary
Executive Travel London Limited, a private-hire and executive chauffeur transport business, is seeking an experienced Transport and Distribution Manager to oversee day-to-day fleet operations, driver deployment, and service delivery standards across our client base. This is a key operational role reporting directly to the Director, responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality transport services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle scheduling and driver deployment to meet client bookings
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, roadworthiness, and compliance with transport regulations
- Manage relationships with fleet finance and maintenance providers
- Oversee driver rotas, working hours compliance, and performance standards
- Track fuel, parking, and operational costs, and identify efficiency savings
- Liaise with the client relationship and finance teams to align service delivery with client expectations
- Prepare regular reports on fleet utilisation, costs, and service performance for the Director
- Ensure all drivers and vehicles meet relevant licensing and insurance requirements
- Handle escalations relating to service delays, vehicle issues, or driver conduct
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a vehicle fleet, transport operation, or distribution function (2+ years preferred)
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills
- Knowledge of UK transport/private hire regulations
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with drivers, clients, and management
- Proficiency with fleet management or scheduling software
