Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Nursery Room Supervisor to help lead and nurture our Children and staff.
In this vital role, you will oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for young children. Your leadership will inspire staff, foster positive relationships with families, and uphold high standards of childcare and early childhood education. Responsibilities
- Working with the existing management team
- Be responsible for the safe and efficient opening and closing of the Nursery, and be responsible in the absence of the manager/ assistant manager
- Supervise and partake in daily nursery activities, ensuring a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children
- Lead and motivate room staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high-quality childcare standards
- Help develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote early learning and development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies
- Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Requirements
- Level 3 in Childcare (minimum)
- Proven leadership experience in childcare or early childhood education settings
- Experience working with children in a nursery or preschool environment
- Strong knowledge of Safeguarding
- Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members
- A genuine passion for nurturing young children’s growth and fostering a supportive learning environment
