Job Summary
Glicold Limited is looking for a reliable and hardworking Construction Operative / Trainee Coldroom & Cladding Installer to join our growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn a specialist trade within the construction industry. Previous experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right person.
The role involves working as part of a team installing coldrooms, insulated panel systems, white walling, cleanrooms and firewalls on construction projects.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn and isn’t afraid of hard work. The role involves early starts and travel to different sites.
From time to time staying away will be required but the cost is covered in full by Glicold limited.
The ideal candidate will either be Worcester based or willing to travel.
Duties
- Assist with the installation of coldroom and insulated panel systems
- Install white walling, cleanroom systems and firewalls
- Work alongside experienced installers and learn specialist installation techniques
- Measure, cut and fit panels and associated materials
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Load, unload and move materials on site
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow site health and safety procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card (or willing to obtain one)
- Full UK driving licence (preferably not require)
- Reliable and punctual, particularly for early starts
- Hardworking with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn a specialist trade
- Comfortable with physical work
- Able to work safely as part of a team
- Construction experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience with coldrooms, insulated panels or cladding would be an advantage
