The Hollies Surgery is a friendly and patient-focused GP practice committed to delivering high-quality primary care. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrator to join our growing team and provide excellent customer service to our patients.
The Role
This is an afternoon-only position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment and has excellent communication and organisational skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with patient enquiries.
- Booking, amending and cancelling appointments.
- Registering new patients and updating patient records.
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Scanning and filing clinical documents.
- Managing emails and administrative tasks.
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team.
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with GDPR and NHS policies.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Is organised and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Has good IT skills and is confident using Microsoft Office.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, professional and compassionate.
- Previous experience in a GP practice or NHS setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
