Air Conditioning Engineer
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of air conditioning systems across commercial and industrial sites.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent fault-finding skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional company working on a variety of exciting projects throughout London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Install a wide range of air conditioning systems to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Commission new installations and ensure systems operate safely and effectively.
- Lead or support installation teams, providing guidance to junior engineers where required.
- Work alongside construction and refurbishment teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.
- Ensure all work complies with current health & safety legislation, F-Gas regulations, and industry best practice.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate professionally with clients on site.
- Keep up to date with new products, technologies, and industry developments.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience installing, servicing, and repairing commercial air conditioning systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, mechanical systems, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- City & Guilds F-Gas Category 1 certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning Installation and Commissioning.
- Additional HVAC or mechanical engineering qualifications.
- Experience supervising apprentices or junior engineers.
- Experience working on VRV/VRF, split, multi-split, and ducted systems.

Location
Although the majority of our commercial installation projects are based in Central London, you will also be expected to work across London, Essex, Kent, and the surrounding areas, depending on project requirements.
