Kitchen Porter (KP) – Castle Carvery Caister
We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team. Our kitchens are fast-paced, highly organised, and focused on delivering a great guest experience – and our will KPs play a vital role in making that happen.
As a key member of the team, you’ll help keep the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene throughout service.
About You
You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to follow instructions, and happy to get stuck in wherever needed. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to cleanliness are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include (but is not limited to):
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
- Operating the dishwasher and ensuring all pots, pans, crockery, and utensils are cleaned and ready for service.
- Keeping food prep areas and kitchen equipment clean and sanitised.
- Assisting with the organisation and cleanliness of storage areas, including fridges and freezers.
- Receiving, unloading, and correctly storing deliveries in line with food safety procedures.
- Ensuring floors, walls, and work surfaces are always kept clean and safe.
- Supporting the kitchen team with basic food preparation when required.
- Following all company and legal health & safety and food hygiene procedures.
Experience
Previous experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential, full training will be provided.
