Geothermal Driller
Rotadrill is looking for an experienced Geothermal Driller to join our growing team. We work on geothermal, waterwell and ground investigation projects across the UK.
We are looking for someone with solid geothermal drilling experience who can work safely, efficiently and independently on site.
The role
- Operate drilling rigs on geothermal projects
- Drill and install geothermal boreholes
- Operate and manage Mud Puppy mud recycling systems
- Mix and manage drilling fluids
- Carry out grouting and associated geothermal works
- Set up and dismantle drilling equipment
- Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance of rigs and equipment
- Work to project specifications and health and safety requirements
- Work away from home when required
Essential requirements
- Previous geothermal drilling experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Geothermal Drilling
- Mud Puppy experience – essential
- Telehandler ticket
- Safe Pass card
- Good knowledge of drilling fluids and mud management
- Experience operating and maintaining drilling rigs
- Good understanding of geothermal drilling methods
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a team
- A valid in date passport
Salary & benefits
- £39,000–£42,000 per year, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday
- 1.5x pay for Saturdays
- 2x pay for Sundays
- Company van or 4x4 available for work and commuting

Nationwide UK and overseas projects.
