Multiple positions across 3 shift patterns:
Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00 (AM)
Sunday-Thursday 14:00-22:00 (PM) or
Sunday-Thursday 22:00-06:00 (Nights)
In our bakery, we are looking for highly skilled factory operatives that have experience in the manufacturing or warehouse sectors.
You will carry out department tasks in accordance with departmental processes (SOPs etc), ensuring quality standards are met at all times. Multi skilling is required so team members must be prepared to move between sections & tasks. Tasks could include:
- Using cutting, mixing equipment
- Ensure you operate all machinery and equipment in accordance with training/SOPs, including safety start up checks.
- Report any defects, wear and tear, potential machine or equipment problems or near misses to your immediate supervisor or engineering immediately
- Ensure you and all team members around you are compliant with PPE for area
- Accurately carry out and record materials / products for stock taking as requested by Team Leader
- Ensure those around you are complying to process & procedures at all times, stopping and addressing non compliance immediately. Escalate repeated non compliance to your Team Leader
- Help & support other teams as required within your section (e.g. process, NPD, technical teams)
- Deliver effective handover to incoming colleague, making sure you communicate all relevant information (e.g. where you are against plan, mechanical/material issues etc)
- Act to minimise waste
- Demonstrate & explain your role to visitors (e.g. auditors, customers)
- Ensure lower levels in your team are actively utilised at all times and direct them if required
