Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operative to join our team. This role involves operating, maintaining, and setting up machinery to produce high-quality food products.
Duties
- To be responsible for the smooth running of the production line and to deliver production targets, with the ability to recognise errors, to rectify them quickly and effectively and drive improvement.
- To lead and motivate your team, ensuring all personnel are appropriately trained and follow procedures.
- To maintain a high standard of Health & Safety and Food Safety
- To promote and maintain a clean as you go culture within the working area
- To deliver production targets on time in full
- Operate machinery and understand all the machinery on your line.
- Deal with minor faults (clear jams) and report major faults. Check safe operations of guards prior to use of equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Complete machinery efficiency sheets in a timely fashion.
- Carry out quality checks and complete the relevant documentation accurately and timely.
- Sleeve and date chilled products to meet daily production plan
- Work closely with allocated production staff.
- Any other duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.

- Experience in food environment with ability to work on own initiative.
- Carry out checks against specifications.
- Complete material and finished goods counts.
- Ability to work with and oversee machinery.
- Work as part of a dynamic team.
Pay: From £12.96 per hour
