Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to observe activity and identify potential security threats
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management and emergency services
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorisation of visitors and staff
- Assist in crowd control during events or high-traffic periods, ensuring smooth operations
- Conduct routine checks of security equipment to ensure proper functioning
Qualifications
- Previous experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Basic first aid certification is desirable
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise potential threats swiftly
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
- Must be organised, reliable, and attentive to detail
- Valid security licence or certification as required by local regulations
