We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Scaffold Yard Supervisor to join our team in St Albans. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong organisational skills and experience in scaffolding operations.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks
- 40 paid hours per week
- Overtime may be available depending on workload
Pay Rate:
- Equivalent annual salary: £36,400 per year
- Overtime paid at 1.5x standard hourly rate
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the day-to-day operations of the scaffold yard
- Managing loading and unloading of scaffolding materials
- Organising stock, inspections, and maintenance of equipment
- Ensuring all materials are prepared for delivery and collection on time
- Leading and supervising yard operatives
- Maintaining health and safety standards at all times
- Conducting regular stock checks and reporting shortages or damages
- Coordinating with transport and site teams for deliveries
Requirements:
- Previous experience in scaffolding yard operations or a similar role
- Good knowledge of scaffolding materials and equipment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence preferred
