Job Summary:
To lead and direct the HR team to ensure the effective delivery of recruitment and transactional HR services, whilst adhering to policies and regulatory framework, identifying improvements and suggestions for improving HR management.
Responsible for the day-to-day transactional HR and recruitment activity across our site in, Lincoln, as well as across the workforce working remotely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing a small team of HR Advisers to support and deliver pro-active advice which aligns to and support business goal and ensures statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Overseeing recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
- Provide HR support to directors and senior managers on resourcing and complex employee relations matters, including managing absence, disciplinary, grievances and absence
- Develop modern best practice HR policies and procedures, ensuring these are in line with current employment law and regulatory requirements.
- Disseminate and train line managers in HR related policies and procedures so that they are confident in their use.
- Resolve complex ER issues (including employment tribunals) to deliver commercial and pragmatic outcomes
- Provide regular MI business reporting and HR metrics as directed by the HR Director
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality always having regard to safeguarding responsibilities
- Undertake other duties appropriate to your post and/or hours of work and as specified by the Company to assist in ensuring the business goals are met.
Person Specification
- Degree/Masters degree in Human Resource Management or CIPD qualified
- At least 4 years experience working in Human Resources (essential)
- Knowledge of employment law principles
- Experience of managing and developing an HR team (essential)
- Ability to respond to multiple conflicting demands from different directions achieving quick turn-around times
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience of HR management information systems
- Extensive experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures
- Highly organised yet flexible and works well under pressur
- Excellent Microsoft office skills
- Previous sector experience in a health and regulatory framework would be advantageous.
