Part-Time School Cleaner / Caretaker
High Standard Cleaning Services International Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional School Cleaner / Caretaker to work at a school in the HX7 area.
Hours and pay
- 15 hours per week
- 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday
- Term-time working, plus one additional week during the summer closure
- £12.71 per hour
- Part-time, permanent position
- Exact daily shift times will be confirmed with the successful applicant
The role
This is a responsible position combining daily school cleaning with minor caretaking and secure lock-up duties. You will work independently to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Main duties
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, washrooms and communal areas
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and wiping surfaces
- Emptying bins and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Following the site cleaning schedule and health and safety procedures
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
- Completing minor caretaking tasks within your ability
- Reporting maintenance, safety or security concerns promptly
- Following the school’s end-of-day lock-up procedure, including checking designated doors and windows
- Helping with an additional summer deep-clean week
What we are looking for
- Reliable, punctual and able to work consistently Monday to Friday
- Trustworthy and comfortable working independently
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Able to follow instructions, cleaning schedules and site procedures
- Previous commercial or school-cleaning experience is preferred, although training can be provided
- A professional and respectful approach within a school environment
