Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Lunchtime School Cleaner to join our team, working at a local village school near Trowbridge.
This is a permanent, term-time only role based on 38 working weeks per year. Due to the rural location of the school, your own transport is essential.
This is an important role that helps ensure the school's dining areas are clean, safe and ready for pupils and staff to continue with the school day following lunchtime.
Following the lunchtime period, you will help prepare the dining areas for the afternoon by cleaning tables and eating areas, disinfecting touchpoints, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying bins, loading and unloading the dishwasher, washing and hanging tea towels to dry, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the dining facilities.
This is a physically active role that involves being on your feet for most of your shift and includes regular walking, bending, stretching and light manual handling duties. You will also assist with clearing away and storing dining tables and benches, typically twice per week.
You will work independently within your designated areas of the school and will receive full training and ongoing support from the Clay & Co. Facilities Group management team.
As you will be working within a live school environment, you will regularly interact with teaching staff, pupils and other authorised personnel. A friendly, professional and respectful approach is expected at all times.
If you take pride in your work, enjoy working independently and are committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness, we'd love to hear from you.
