Job Introduction
Pinnacle Group are looking for an Assistant Repairs Manager to provide operational support to the Responsive Repairs Manager in the delivery of repairs, compliance remedial works, and damp and mould programmes. The role assists with the day-to-day supervision of the Repairs Coordination Team, helping to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures, client requirements, and statutory obligations.
Our Homes Division delivers trusted housing management services across Affordable, Private Rented and Leasehold properties. We work with local authorities, registered providers and investors to support thriving communities.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting responsive repairs, compliance works, and damp and mould programmes within a housing or property environment, alongside strong organisational skills and a good understanding of repairs, contractor management, and statutory compliance. They will be a confident communicator with the ability to support a team, manage competing priorities, and use reporting systems to drive service performance.

Key responsibilities:

Assist the Responsive Repairs Manager with the day-to-day delivery of repairs, compliance remedial works, and damp and mould cases.

Support the supervision of the Repairs Coordination Team, assisting with workload allocation, prioritisation, and the monitoring of performance.

Monitor the progress of repairs and remedial works, escalating any delays, risks, or issues to the Responsive Repairs Manager.

Assist in reviewing repair quotations and documentation before approval by the Responsive Repairs Manager.

Assist in maintaining damp and mould tracking systems and ensure actions are progressed in line with company procedures and Awaab’s Law requirements.

Support the coordination of asbestos-related repairs, ensuring appropriate documentation and procedures are followed.

Support the monitoring of contractor performance and ensure works are completed to the required quality standards.

Assist with the monitoring of repair costs and support the processing of repair documentation and invoices.

Help identify training requirements and support the Responsive Repairs Manager in ensuring team members maintain mandatory and industry-specific training.
Key requirements:

Experience supporting the delivery of responsive repairs, compliance remedial works, and damp and mould programmes within a housing, property, repairs, or facilities management environment.

Prior leadership experience in a similar role

Strong coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads, monitor progress, and ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales.

Good understanding of repairs processes, contractor management, health and safety requirements, and statutory compliance obligations relevant to housing maintenance.

Ability to support, guide, and motivate a repairs coordination team, including assisting with workload allocation, performance monitoring, training compliance, and day-to-day problem solving.

Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with residents, contractors, colleagues, clients, and internal stakeholders, including handling queries and escalations sensitively and effectively.

Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation, update tracking systems, and support audit readiness.

Competent in using repairs, housing management, reporting, and Microsoft Office systems to monitor service delivery, produce reports, review KPIs, and support cost control.
