Teaching Assistants – Primary School
September / October 2026 Starts
Now Education Liverpool is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Maghull (L31) that is looking to recruit multiple Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term roles starting from September / October 2026.
The school has opportunities available across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils within the classroom and providing additional support to children with SEND where required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants looking to secure a long-term position within a friendly local primary school.
About the Roles
Depending on your experience and the needs of the school, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Working alongside class teachers to help pupils engage and progress
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support, including for pupils with SEND
- Supporting phonics, early reading, literacy and numeracy activities
- Adapting resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and learning needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
- Supporting pupils' social and emotional wellbeing
- Helping to maintain a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
We're Looking For Candidates Who:
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
- Have experience across Early Years, KS1 and/or KS2
- Have experience supporting children with SEND
- Are patient, caring, proactive and reliable
- Can build strong and positive relationships with pupils
- Work well alongside teachers and other support staff
- Are passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
The Opportunities

- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm.
