At JR Vehicle Services we are looking for a Service Advisor to become a key part of our growing independent workshop.
We are a busy, modern garage specialising in diagnostics, engine repairs and complex vehicle issues. We pride ourselves on being honest, thorough and fair with our customers, while maintaining a professional and organised workshop environment.
You will be the first point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for servicing, diagnostics and repairs. We are looking for somebody personable, organised and confident communicating both over the phone and face to face. Alongside customer service, the role involves managing estimates, updating customers proactively and helping keep the workshop running efficiently day to day.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering customer calls and emails
- Booking vehicles into the workshop diary
- Keeping customers updated throughout repairs
- Producing and following up estimates
- Managing workshop communication between technicians and customers
- Ordering and managing parts
- Helping maintain workshop organisation and job flow
- Communicating recommendations and additional work clearly and professionally
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for somebody who:
- Is honest and dependable
- Has a positive and proactive attitude
- Can stay calm and organised under pressure
- Communicates well with both customers and technicians
- Uses common sense and takes ownership of tasks
- Wants to learn and improve
Previous motor trade experience is preferred, particularly within:
- Service Advisor
- Workshop Controller
- Parts Advisor
- Front of House roles within the automotive industry
However, attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important to us as experience.
You would be working alongside the workshop manager
