Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Responsibilities
- Receiving goods from routine deliveries.
- Manage stock levels by accurately picking, packing, and storing products within the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage orders efficiently.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency.
- Perform regular checks on equipment, including forklifts, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Supporting our e-commerce business with pre-packing items when workload can allow it.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong skills in materials handling, with an understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems will be beneficial for tracking inventory effectively.
- Forklift certification is desirable; however, training may be provided for the right candidate.
- A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
