THE ROLE
This is a leadership position, not a volume-build site management role. You’ll lead our garden room projects from groundwork through to final handover, taking full ownership of programme, quality and client experience across multiple concurrent builds.
At any one time, you could be managing up to 7 live residential projects simultaneously. You’ll coordinate subcontractors and trades, manage relationships with building control, liaise directly with homeowners and ensure every project meets Hideaway’s quality standards.
You’ll be the face of Hideaway on site. That means being the person our clients trust, our subcontractors respect and our directors can rely on to flag issues early and solve problems proactively.
Crucially, this is more than delivery. As a senior member of the team, you’ll have direct input into how we build, how we operate and how we grow. You’ll help shape our site processes, build and lead your own teams across projects and play a key role in hiring the right people as the business scales.
This is a mobile role covering sites across Surrey, London and the South East, so regular travel between projects is required.
WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE
Your week might include morning site visits across three or four active builds, an afternoon coordinating upcoming groundwork schedules, a building control inspection on one project and a client walk-through on another. No two days look the same, but every day requires sharp organisation, clear communication and an eye for quality.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Managing up to 7 concurrent residential sites at any one time
- Overseeing ground screw installation and structural build sequences
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and trades across multiple projects
- Managing relationships with building control - arranging inspections, ensuring compliance and achieving sign-off
- Ensuring all projects meet specification, programme and Hideaway quality standards
- Liaising directly with homeowners to manage expectations and maintain an excellent customer experience
- Maintaining build documentation, site records and health & safety compliance
- Travelling between sites across Surrey, the Home Counties and London as required
- Reporting progress to company directors and proactively flagging issues early
- Building and leading site teams across your portfolio of projects
- Contributing to the development of site processes, build standards and operational improvements
- Playing an active role in recruiting and developing the right people as the business grows
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven site management experience within premium residential construction or a closely related sector
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active sites simultaneously - ideally 5 or more at any one time
- Strong understanding of timber frame or modular building methods
- Experience with ground screw or alternative foundation systems is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with building control processes and sign-off requirements
- CSCS card preferred, though experience and attitude are valued highly
- Excellent communication skills - professional and confident with clients, subcontractors and consultants alike
- Highly organised, proactive and capable of managing a busy programme independently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finished projects
- Full driving licence required - own vehicle preferred, though a company van may be available for the right candidate
- Leadership experience - comfortable building, managing and motivating site teams

Pay: £250.00-£300.00 per day
