Personal Assistant (PA) – Acquired Brain Injury Support

We are excited to offer an opportunity to support a lady living with an Acquired Brain Injury in her own home in Cheadle Hulme. She requires consistent morning support to help maintain structure, independence and confidence.
We are currently recruiting Personal Assistants to provide person‑centred support across a 7‑day service, including weekends.
Shift times:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday: Morning support
However the hours may increase.
Permanent contracts available following successful completion of probation.
About the Role
We are looking for caring, proactive and reliable individuals with strong character, intelligence, and the ability to take initiative. You will be supporting a lady living with an Acquired Brain Injury to maintain routines, plan her day and engage in meaningful activities.
She enjoys cinema, art, gigs, swimming, daily shopping and being out in the community. You will support her to plan her week, organise appointments and stay motivated with daily tasks.
This role also includes supporting her with maintaining her home environment, helping to feed her cats, and providing personal care when required.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing daily encouragement, structure and planning support
- Assisting with personal care when needed
- Supporting with shopping, errands and collecting medications
- Helping to organise appointments, routines and weekly schedules
- Maintaining a clean and organised home
- Feeding and supporting the routine care of her cats
- Supporting with meaningful activities such as cinema trips, art, gigs and swimming
- Promoting independence, wellbeing and confidence
- Working in a supportive and professional environment
Experience
Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, as full client‑specific training and ongoing support will be provided.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working in a home with cats
- Lives within a reasonable distance of Cheadle Hulme for reliable morning support
- Strong character, proactive mindset and intelligent approach to support
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, flexible and committed
- Willing to complete mandatory training
- Enhanced DBS check (completed before employment)
